Non-tactile membrane switches

Non-tactile membrane switches come in useful mostly when tactile feedback is not needed (e.g. when the device displays a relevant character, lights up a LED, or starts an expected operation after the key is depressed).

Principle of a non-tactile membrane switch:

The main advantage is a very favourable price and a very slim design.

Tactile response is a positive snap-action, signalling that the contacts have contacted each other when you depress a key.

To enhance the visual and tactile definition of keys for the user, the graphic overlay can be embossed according to your wish:

• Rim emboss at the key perimeter
• Pillow emboss (a circlet, square)
